Identity / Branding / Human Agency

The Bayou Point identity system is designed to be flexible—as the brand grows, so does the wordmark. Equal consideration was given to the digital and physical applications of the brand. The Bayou Point family should be able to apply the identity to a rucksack as easily as copy + paste. The local environment, the stacking of the pecans for transportation, and the functional requirements of the identity inspired the stencil approach. Colonel Cut Regular (by 205TF) was selected for the identity and a custom letter-form was drawn for ‘Bayou Point.’

The Bayou Point orchards reside on an ox-box lake in Shreveport, Louisiana. These lakes occur over many years when the flow of water is diverted and becomes pinched off from the main river.

The Bayou Point Identity system is designed to literally be flexible. It can expand depending on the requirements of the mark and the sub-brands that comprise Bayou Point.

Custom letterform, “I” was designed to create a mark of equal width for “Bayou Point”—establishing a mark that can stand on its own.
