During my time at Order, I designed the publication “The Motorcycle” with Jesse Reed. The content is arranged chronology with a few introductory texts on the history of the motorcycle and its cultural significance across time. The book features a variety of classic motorcycles alongside newer models and prototypes.
Italian Plate No. 1 (by Playtype) was selected for the book. The typeface is based on Italian license plate numbers from the 1960s.
Double-page entries balance carefully composed studio photography with macro details of the bikes.
